A SERIES OF MUSIC AND ART WORKS SIGNAL FESTIVAL (RUSSIA, 2021)
Signal is the biggest electronic music and digital art festival in Russia.
As part of the music residency, I collaborated with other artists and musicians to produce a series of AV works and sound pieces:
Ecomorph - eight-channel audiovisual installation
Sound for "Contact" installation by Silasveta, one of Russia's biggest digital art companies
Joint live performance showcased at the opening of the festival in Nikola Lenivets architectural park

ECOMORPH
Eight-Channel Audiovisual Installation
The project explores the relationship between abstract sonic and visual forms and imagery inspired by the natural environment. Created during the Signal 2021 Residency, the installation brings together an eight-part musical composition by eight musicians with a visual narrative developed by the Stain project.

Within the installation, abstract and sensory associations with nature continuously morph into one another, presenting nature as a fundamental condition of existence. The residents' creative inquiry centered on the relationship between personal perception and individual conceptions of reality. Nature occupies a significant role within the work, with its fragments emerging symbolically throughout the installation. The residents themselves also became an integral part of the installation space.
CONTACT BY SILASVETA
We produced a lot of music during the residency. One of the pieces is the soundscape for the centerpiece of the festival - the Contact installation by Silasveta.
LIVE PERFORMANCES
Apart from the work on the installations, other participants and I prepared a one-hour live performance that was showcased at the opening of the festival. Also, each of us had their own individual live music performance during Signal.
