"This project will give participants an opportunity to communicate with elements through our senses, feelings, and creative imagination. The goal of the project is to develop the visitors’ sensitivity towards nature, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the importance of a caring and aesthetic approach toward the environment.
In the modern world, the perception of nature is given to natural sciences and technology. I propose a new perspective - the existential perception of nature through art and poetry.
My project is interactive, the visitor is both a spectator and a key actor. The project offers a face-to-face meeting with the five elements of nature. We emphasize both the perception of the physical power and strength of nature and a psychological cognition of these elements, reflected in our consciousness, as a premise for ecological change.
The five elements we encounter in everyday life - air, water, fire, wind, and space or ether are existential conditions of human life, and in the absence of any of them, life would cease to exist. These elements seem so ordinary that we don’t realize their power and role in our lives, or perhaps we do realize, but do not consider ourselves, as the main responsible ones for their existence - the existence of the earth, air, water.
In this project, I was inspired by the qualities of the elements, which are the main source of creative inspiration for this project. My task is to create a space with the methods of contemporary art, where the viewer will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the elements, to see and feel them from a different artistic point of view, getting complete with them in a meditative environment."
